The Alpha Invention was written, shot and is set in London so it makes a lot of sense for the world premiere to be in London. And there isn't a more suitable festival to host this than the country's leading genre film festival, Film4 FrightFest.

FrightFest is one of the biggest horror film festivals in the world but since its debut in 2000 has spread into other forms of genre film such as fantasy and science-fiction. The Alpha Invention will be screening as part of the official selection on Saturday August 29th at The Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square. You can find further information and buy tickets at the Film4 FrightFest website.

The Alpha Invention has been selected as part of the official selection at the Shetland Screenplay Festival 2015 which will run from 28 August - 6 September.

Screenplay is curated by renowned film critics Mark Kermode and Linda Ruth Williams. Past attendees have included Brian Cox, Jason Isaacs (hello!), Miranda Richardson, Jim Broadbent, Clio Barnard, Terence Davies, Julien Temple and, of course, Dr. Kermode's very own skiffle band, The Dodge Brothers.

We're fortunate enough to not only be selected but playing twice at the festival so if you are already going or are a resident of Shetland, please check it out! Precise screening dates and a full program will be available on Screenplay's website nearer the festival.

More festival news coming very soon, watch this space!
